Our Story
Some words mean more because of how they were written.
A familiar signature. A note left on the kitchen table. A birthday message written in a hand you would recognise anywhere. These things carry something that a typed or printed version never quite captures — the personality, the care, and the memory of the person who wrote them.
Kinwritten Studio was founded on that belief. We preserve handwriting in thread, creating embroidered fabric keepsakes from photographs of real handwritten notes, signatures, names, and messages.
Why thread?
Embroidery is one of the oldest ways humans have preserved meaningful marks on fabric. It is tactile, durable, and beautiful in a way that printed reproductions are not. A piece of embroidered handwriting can be framed, displayed, held, and passed on.
We work from photographs of your original writing. We never retype or replace it with a digital font. Every natural loop, slant, and curve is preserved as closely as the embroidery process allows.
Who we are
[Founder story and personal background to be added before launch. This section should reflect the personal motivation behind Kinwritten Studio — who started it, why handwriting matters to them, and what they hope customers will feel when they receive a keepsake.]
What we make
Each keepsake is embroidered by hand onto fabric in your choice of size and thread colour. The fabric is supplied without a frame, ready for you to display however suits you best.
We currently ship within Canada only.
A note on what we can and cannot promise
Embroidery is a handmade process. We work carefully to preserve the character of your handwriting, but we cannot promise perfect mechanical reproduction of every detail. Old, faded, or partially blurred writing can often be worked with — please contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether your image is suitable.
If you have a question or want to talk through a specific piece of writing before ordering, we would love to hear from you. Get in touch here.
