Terms of service

This store is operated by Malaz Mohamed, carrying on business as Kinwritten Studio. Contact: hello@kinwrittenstudio.com.

These terms govern use of our store and orders placed with us, together with the product description, options selected, Shipping policy and Returns and Refunds policy provided before purchase. Our Privacy policy explains personal information handling. Mandatory consumer protections take priority over any conflicting term.

Your order

You must be legally able to enter into the purchase and authorised to use the payment method. Review your selected size, thread colour, uploaded image, instructions, contact information and delivery address before completing checkout. Prices are in Canadian dollars unless expressly indicated otherwise. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are disclosed before payment. Additional work or charges require your agreement.

Our standard keepsake is embroidery on cotton canvas in the selected finished fabric size and thread colour. The dimensions describe the fabric, not the area covered by embroidery. Frames, hoops and display accessories are excluded unless expressly included in the product listing.

Images and embroidery preparation

Send a clear image showing all the material you want embroidered. Accepted subjects include handwritten notes, signatures, names, dates, short messages and simple children’s drawings, subject to suitability for embroidery. Contact us before ordering if your image is old, unclear, complex or otherwise uncertain, and wait for our confirmation.

You are responsible for identifying which part of the image you want used. We reproduce the agreed content; we do not automatically correct spelling or dates in original handwriting. Embroidery may require reasonable scaling and technical adjustments to line thickness, spacing or stitch placement. We will ask before making a material change to the agreed content or design.

Embroidery cannot reproduce every pixel or ink effect exactly. Normal material and screen-display variations can occur, but the finished piece must still meet the agreed description and applicable quality requirements. A separate digital proof or pre-shipping photograph is not included unless expressly agreed in writing.

If we need a clearer image or revised instructions, we will contact you. If no suitable alternative can be agreed before production, you may cancel for a full refund, including shipping and taxes paid for the cancelled order.

Rights to submitted material

You confirm that you own the material or have the permissions needed to submit it and have it reproduced. This includes relevant copyright and privacy permissions, and permission relating to children’s artwork where necessary. Do not send unlawful material or use our service to infringe another person’s rights.

You give us limited permission to copy and adapt your material only as necessary to assess and fulfil your order and provide related support. Ownership of your original material is not transferred to us. Promotional use requires separate permission. We may decline unlawful or unauthorised content; any affected order will be resolved consistently with applicable law.

Changes and care

Contact us promptly to request an order change. Changes depend on production progress and require our agreement. Any revised price or delivery timing will be confirmed before you agree to proceed. Cancellation and return requests are handled under our Returns and Refunds policy and applicable law.

Keepsakes are decorative textiles. Handle with clean, dry hands and keep away from moisture and direct sunlight. Hand wash gently when needed, hang to dry and do not bleach. Damage caused by misuse or care contrary to these instructions is not a manufacturing defect; this does not exclude applicable legal warranties.

Store use and disputes

Do not misuse the store, interfere with its security or submit fraudulent information. Kinwritten Studio’s own branding, photographs and website content may not be used commercially without permission or another lawful basis. This does not affect rights in customer-supplied material.

Please contact us if a dispute arises so we can try to resolve it. You retain access to remedies, complaint bodies and courts available under applicable law. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or waive consumer rights. Québec law and applicable Canadian federal law govern, subject to any mandatory protections and jurisdictional rights that apply where you live.

We may update these terms for future orders. The version supplied when you ordered continues to govern that order unless a lawful change is agreed. A term that cannot be enforced does not invalidate the remaining lawful terms.
